River Hamble Tide Times

Bursledon, Lower Swanwick

Of course, these tide times are just a guide. You are fully responsible for your own safety and tide information when visiting any of these locations.

Planning a cruise along the River Hamble?

It's tough to beat a leisurely cruise along the River Hamble when the sun is shining. Best done at high tide, there are a number of lovely sights to see, from pubs, to wildlife and even the popular floating cafe (a must visit for paddle boarders).

If you time the tide right (and for those a little more experienced), you can reach all the way up to the Horse and Jockey pub in Curbridge. For an easy and relaxing afternoon though, just make your way up to River Hamble Country Park.

This is a great spot that many boaters anchor up for the afternoon, for a spot of lunch and a drink or two. If you're feeling brave, you could even have a swim at this spot as there is a small beach, depending on the tide which is popular with visitors too. Just remember to keep an eye out for swimmers whilst you make your way up, as they certainly don't pay too much attention!

If you fancy some time off the boat, there is also a small pontoon where you can temporarily moor up and stretch your legs in the wooded area. It's well marked out and fenced, so easy to have stroll around without getting lost or to let any dogs off the lead.

That's a teaser for now regarding a little cruise up the River Hamble. Check out my full write up here on the River Hamble. All the things to see, marinas to visit and restaurants to eat at!
